Overview

The Complexity

Building healthcare software means navigating HIPAA compliance, real-time video infrastructure, and multi-party scheduling — all while keeping the UX simple enough for patients in their 60s and 70s.

I chose a Next.js + PostgreSQL architecture with row-level security for HIPAA compliance, WebRTC for peer-to-peer video (with Twilio fallback), and a custom scheduling engine handling timezone-aware bookings.
